The Tallinn Mechanism actively participated in the Kyiv International Resilience Forum (KIRF), one of Ukraine’s largest cybersecurity events. This year, the initiative supported the forum as a Global Resilience Partner and was represented with a dedicated booth for the first time.
The Tallinn Mechanism’s booth became a key meeting point for Ukrainian and international partners, stakeholders, government counterparts, and members of the cyber community. Throughout the forum, the team of the Tallinn Mechanism Project Office (TMPO) held dozens of consultations, mini-meetings, and live discussions. These exchanges focused on advancing cyber resilience projects in Ukraine.
The TMPO team also intensified communication with Ukrainian and international cyber companies. The goal was to encourage stronger private sector engagement in the Tallinn Mechanism’s activities. The discussions also highlighted additional opportunities for cyber businesses offered by the Tallinn Mechanism Platform.
The initiative received strong visibility across the forum. Multiple speakers referred to the Tallinn Mechanism as a successful example of effective international cooperation in cybersecurity. This recognition underscores the growing relevance and impact of the initiative.
In addition, Toomas Tirs, Head of the Tallinn Mechanism Front Office, presented key milestones in the initiative’s development and highlighted its main achievements on the main stage. He stressed the importance of further strengthening international support for Ukraine in countering cyber threats. He also called on donor countries to scale up assistance and encouraged new partners to join the initiative.
Kseniia Bulhakova, TMPO Manager for Donors and Private Sector Engagement, joined the panel discussion “Donor Coordination and Implementation for Cyber and Digital Resilience.” She emphasized the need for faster decision-making and reduced bureaucracy in the implementation of technical assistance projects. According to her, increasingly sophisticated cyber challenges require rapid and flexible responses, including the active involvement of local experts who understand the domestic market.
The TMPO team expressed sincere appreciation to the forum organizers for delivering a high-level event. The team also thanked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Italian Republic and the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office for supporting the Tallinn Mechanism’s participation at KIRF. CRDF Global, as an implementing partner from Canada, also contributed to the organization of the event.
Besides, the TMPO team thanks everyone who joined the forum and visited our booth and looks forward to further strengthening cooperation in the future.
