TMPO, together with Global Affairs Canada (GAC) and the Estonian Embassy in Canada, held an information session for Canadian IT and cybersecurity companies on new opportunities offered by the Tallinn Mechanism Platform.
The event opened with welcome remarks by Margus Rava, Ambassador of Estonia to Canada.
Larisa Galadza, Associate Assistant Deputy Minister for International Security and Political Affairs at Global Affairs Canada, provided an overview of Canada’s role in supporting Ukraine’s cyber resilience. She also reflected on her experience as Canada’s Ambassador to Ukraine at the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
Toomas Tirs, Head of the Tallinn Mechanism Front Office, presented key achievements of the Tallinn Mechanism over the past two years and outlined the initiative’s current priorities.
Olesya Danylchenko, Head of TMPO, introduced the Tallinn Mechanism Platform and highlighted opportunities for private sector engagement in project implementation under the initiative.
The session also featured practical insights from James Thomas, Global Head of Cyber Resilience at Nortal, who shared a company perspective on registering on the platform.
The session concluded with closing remarks delivered by a representative of the Embassy of Ukraine in Canada.
