On February 4, the Tallinn Mechanism Project Office met with the Acting Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, Oleksandr Bornyakov, and the team of the Ministry’s International Cooperation Department.
During the meeting, the parties discussed key priorities for the Tallinn Mechanism in the first quarter of 2026. A major focus was on the launch and further development of the Tallinn Mechanism Platform.
TMPO emphasized that its goal is to build an ecosystem around the platform. It’s planned to foster international partnerships, encourage joint solutions, and bring together collective efforts to strengthen Ukraine’s cyber resilience. The first steps in this direction are already underway. The concept and capabilities of the platform have been presented to the IT Ukraine Association and Norwegian business. In February more webinars are scheduled, in particular, for companies from Canada, Great Britain, and Poland.
The meeting also covered preparations for the upcoming general meeting of the Tallinn Mechanism member states, which is planned to be in London in March. The Ukrainian side outlined key issues that need to be addressed. The previous meeting of the member states was held in late October 2025.
The Tallinn Mechanism was launched on December 20, 2023. Over the past two years, it has become a strong example of effective international cooperation, supporting Ukraine in strengthening its cyber defenses, protecting its digital sovereignty, and preparing for long-term cybersecurity challenges.
In 2025, the member states of the Tallinn Mechanism allocated €60.9 million to support Ukraine’s cybersecurity. Overall, partners have contributed more than €200 million over the past two years.
The Tallinn Mechanism closely cooperates in Ukraine with key governmental counterparts, in particular, the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection (SSSCIP), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Security Service of Ukraine, and the National Cybersecurity Coordination Center (NCSCC). Besides, the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine initiated the establishment of TMPO.
