The Netherlands Cybersecurity Coordination Centre (NCC-NL) has received 23 proposals under the €2.5 million Netherlands-Ukraine Cybersecurity Grant Programme (NL-UA CF). It is funded by the Government of the Netherlands within the framework of the Tallinn Mechanism.
The grant programme is designed for Ukrainian and Dutch companies that develop innovative cybersecurity products or services. To apply, companies had to form a consortium with at least one Ukrainian and one Dutch partner and submit a joint project proposal in one of four priority domains until the end of April.
23 proposals were distributed across the following areas:
-
8 proposals focused on improving Security Operations Centre-as-a-Service (SOC-as-a-Service) and Managed Security Services, including tools for faster onboarding and deployment;
-
6 proposals focused on cloud security solutions that help Ukraine diversify its cloud storage and cloud service providers;
-
4 proposals addressed Identity and Access Management and email protection to strengthen data integrity;
-
5 proposals focused on forensic investigation and incident response tools, including crisis simulation exercises and investigation solutions.
The final results of the competition will be announced on June 1. 10 consortia will be selected to develop cybersecurity solutions or products during a six-month period.
Last year, the Netherlands allocated €10 million to support Ukraine’s digital sovereignty and cyber defence. The funding is channelled through the United Kingdom’s Ukraine Cyber Programme (UCP).
The support helps strengthen the cyber infrastructure of government institutions, procure software and hardware for public institutions and critical infrastructure, and improve cyber threat investigation and response capabilities.
Part of this funding is used to implement projects for Ukrainian government institutions within the Tallinn Mechanism.
